Explore Western Balkans

Itinerary:

Many countries in Europe have become very crowded and commercialized, but much of the Balkans has remained authentic while still easily accessible.

Historically this area was known as a crossroads of cultures. It has been a juncture between the Latin and Greek bodies of the Roman Empire, the destination of a massive influx of pagan Bulgars and Slavs, an area where Orthodox and Catholic Christianity met, as well as the meeting point between Islam and Christianity. The First World War was sparked in this area and the Second World War left the Balkans largely ruined. After many decades, this region has recovered and prospered. Its political and religious complexity has left many impressive historical relics and archaeological sites. However, it is completely safe and war-free and has been for the entire 21st century.

We have specially designed a trip taking you to explore the Western Balkans. Our exploration includes five countries, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania, a true adventure to the less-traveled but magnificent part of Europe. Along the Danube River, we will see many ancient castles with incredible histories, architectural styles and strategic locations. Churches, monasteries, temples and mosques of different religions coexist peacefully, truly a melting pot of various ethnic groups and cultures. Picturesque waterfalls, calm lakes, winding rivers, deep canyons, wild mountains and untouched nature are all part of an amazingly diverse landscape. The charming citadels, towers and cobbled streets of old towns and villages are witnesses to an ancient history of over two millennia. Join us on this extensive discovery of the West Balkans!
