1. REGISTRATION
A deposit of $500 ($100 nonrefundable if a trip participant decides to cancel the trip) and a completed registration form will reserve a space for you on a China Span tour. Deposits may be made by check, VISA, MasterCard and American Express. Full payment of the trip cost is due 60 days prior to departure date and may be made by check only. Trip costs are quoted in US dollars and must be paid in US dollars.
2. TRIP COST
The tour prices listed in the brochure are based on double occupancy. Single supplement is available at an extra charge.
Tour price includes: Domestic flights and airport tax, ground travel, all meals, hotel accommodations, extensive sightseeing by private motorcoach as indicated in the itinerary, photo shooting fees if applicable. Please see individual tour itineraries for details on what is included.
Tour price excludes: International airfare (US/starting point, ending point/US), visa fee, personal expenses, extra costs due to unanticipated changes of reasons beyond the control of China Span.
3. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
China Span reserves the right to cancel the trip if there are inadequate sign ups. In the event that the tour is canceled by China Span, there will be full refund to all registered participants. If China Span receives written notice that you must cancel your trip, refunds will be made according to the following policy:
Full refund less $100 deposit if canceled more than 60 days prior to departure
60% of trip fee as refund if canceled 59 to 30 days prior to departure
30% of trip fee as refund if canceled 29 to 10 days prior to departure
No refund if canceled less than 10 days prior to departure
Across the Top of the World cruise has a different cancellation policy due to the nature of the trip. Please refer to the detailed information about this trip.
4. SHARE BASIS FOR SINGLE TRAVELERS
Accommodations (in hotels and cruise cabins) are based on double occupancy. If you prefer single accommodations, you are requested to pay a single supplement fee, which will be listed in the detailed itinerary of the specific trip. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we will assign you a roommate. If there is no one with whom you can share, you are required to pay for the extra single supplement fee.
5. HEALTH & MEDICAL
It is vital that people with medical problems should make them known to China Span well before departure. Most of the trips listed in the brochure are comfortable trips within the capabilities of average people in good health. If you have concerns about your own fitness as it relates to China Span tours, please consult our office. Hospital facilities for serious problems are often unavailable and evacuation can be prolonged, difficult, and expensive. China Span assumes no liability regarding provision of medical care. Trip participants will receive appropriate health information and a medical certificate to be filled out and returned to China Span.
6. INSURANCE
We strongly encourage all participants to purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance. A policy application from Access America is included in the pre-departure information packet.
7. LOGISTICS
Accommodations are western styled hotels with hot water shower whenever possible. However, at certain remote locations, only rustic country inns or camping tents without modern amenities are available. China Span will make sure that the accommodation is comfortable, though not extravagant. Food is specially ordered at every meal catered for the need of the individual traveler. Breakfast is usually arranged at hotel, while lunch and dinner will be arranged at local restaurants. Should only one space remain on a trip, it is our policy to accept two persons traveling together, even if it exceeds the stated trip maximum. Most of the trips will be personally led by Keren Su. 8. RESPONSIBILITY
China Span L.L.C. and its agents and associates act only as agents for the trip participant in regard to travel including, but not limited to, sightseeing, meals, lodging, transportation, and all other services whether by railroad, motorcoach, boat, ship or aircraft and they assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect in any vehicle or for any reason whatsoever, or through the acts or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the trip participant or in carrying out the arrangements of the trip. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed necessary for comfort and well being of the trip participants. The right is reserved to substitute hotels, alter the itinerary and reverse the order of places to be visited. China Span will keep you informed of any necessary changes in a timely fashion. On placing a deposit with China Span, the depositor agrees to be bound by the above terms and conditions.
